Photos from my recent visit to Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches
Bell na! Pila na lahat sa basketball court. You may notice the students may not look as many as before for some of you who graduated in the 90’s but actually the student population is actually bigger. But lunch breaks and recess are no longer done at the same time. This solves some space issues.
This covered basketball court is not new at all, but for many graduates of Sacred Heart Academy in the 90’s and back, did not have this privilege. So people playing basketball during recess still sweat, but not as bad as it was before where you will really smell bad after playing and going back to the classroom.
Two students waiting at half of the basketball court as the rest of the players are on the other side. Nothing seemed to change. Boys sweat a lot in highschool and smell like sh*t after recess. And they just don’t care about it.
And girls just sit down. Probably talking about the school heartrob at Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches.
If boys are not playing basketball, they still run around, mataya-taya, agawan base, speedy, whatever. Since today they have IDs around their necks, ayun, nahuli sya.
Basta laro sa recess. Yung bag ko, wala akong pakialam, iwan ko na lang sa court.

Hmmm, what year did you graduate ba? ‘coz I think iba na ang faculty. Unless it was a bit recent pa, your teachers might still be there.

the big santol (or was it manga?) tree in front of the hs building is gone, along with rotting wood bench beside it. I miss that.
the campus have changed all over, i can’t seem to find any nostalgic place anymore…
can you put pictures of the areas at the former ydt room, the canteen, bookstore? (at the back of admin), and our classrooms at the basement?
but anyway, i just happened to accidentally got into this site. thanks mr (or ms) Turon : )
and by the way, Ms. Tolero is still the sexiest and most alluring teacher sacre ever had! Ms. Tolero, after 14 years, I admit I had an hd for you!!!!!

Yes, no more Santol, no more rotten wooden bench. Sementado na.
YDT room ng Batch 92? Ano yun sa tabi ng canteen? Or sa pababa malapit sa canteen? Yung sa pababa, is like some cafeteria. Yung katabi ng canteen, I think is a room already.
Canteen is expanded, with some other food options that seem to be renting at Sacre.
Bookstore, hmmm ewan ko if buhay pa yun.
Basement classrooms sa biggest building? Well they still look the same.
Ms. Tolero? Isn’t it Ms. Toledo? Well all I can say about her is I had a great time with her going through the Foundation day Horror Booth.
Well para sa akin, walang tatalo kay Ms. Liza Sorita, but in 1992, she already hmmm gained some weight. Ms. Mina Magtira who was teaching computer subjects and elementary science was also hot. And while i was in highschool, in the elementary faculty, Ms. Annie Retugal was also hot.
Now that’s all I can say, if I say more, my identity will just be revealed. In my next postings, I will try to talk more about La Loma and Pasig naman. Para hindi puro Novaliches lang ito.

hmm, laki na nga ng pinagbago ng SHAN…
Buti na lang nai-post s yahoogroups ng batchmates ung link d2… it’s nice to know, lots of things change for the betterment…
eventhough, i had a not so good experience back in the last year of my hs… to all the people who keep me company during those turbulent times, who believe in me back then, i thank you all, even to my adviser…
if not for this experience, i may not be where am i right now…
am still proud of being a product of SHAN eventhough i didn’t make it to be included on the roster of batch 92…
ah basta…

12 years ako nag-aral dun sa shan, at di pako nadala kasi nagturo din ako dun for one academic year…
si mrs.velas di na pricipal ng elementary
si ms. estandante d na masyado masungit
si kuya ali yung janitor natin na mabait, property custodian na. si ms. bacay would you believe ay nagiging favorite teacher na ng mga students (she really did change a lot and one thing i really am thankful for in going back ther, we became good friends)
isa lang di nagbabago dun….

pero in fairness dahil sa super strict nya, we turned out ok di ba? you should meet students nowadays…grabe!

I agree to that, Arreola, you would hate her if you were still a student there. But if you were a parent and your son/daughter was there, you would like Arreola’s strict watchful eye. It’s time foe you to watch Arreola, have you seen the Arreola Video by batch 85?
SHAN Batch 85 used to have a website of their own, it’s gone now. They also have a video of Mr. Henry (Enrique) and Mrs. Jojo (Josephine) Zabarte..
Pero parang talo pa din ang SHAN ng SHALL, since SHALL has former valedictorian Martha Daniels (screen name). Martha Daniels even has more photo shoots here. Maybe we can get Allona Amor (I heard she was from SHAN, but got kicked out) to be featured too. *LOL*

isa lang naman sa batch namin ang bumalik sa alma mater na nagturo eh…

wag na nga, magkakabukingan pa ng edad…
anyway, i can’t have a comparison for SHALL and SHAN, since i was both a product, my elementary years at SHALL and my unforgettable HS years at SHAN…
basta iisa lang ang masasabi ko, sana they still maintain the same quality of education through the years…
to Mrs. Arreola, all i can say, if not for you, i maybe not the person i am right now…
anyway, one of our batchmate who transfer after 2nd year hs is in to theater acting, i’ve seen her once sa isang short film by Red, gumaganap na nurse na nakasakay sa jeep traversing a dirt road… i recognized her kz magaling talaga umarte un at kabilang sa actors guild back in college at adamson…

Laki n tlaga pinagbago ng sacre novaliches. batch 92 grad po ako. I still cant believe si mrs. tolero is still there. Im already based here in Cebu kaya buong manila mis ko n tlaga.

Cesar, parang kilala kita, ikaw yung matangkad. Hindi ko lang maalala if Velasco last name mo, pero parang isa lang naman ang katangitanging Cesar sa Sacre noong grade 6 in 1986 na laging section D. Sikat ka eh.

haha! sacrean ako since kinder to hs! grabe do’n ako natuto ng lahat ng nalalaman ko! and i’m proud to say product ako ng sacre! :)) nakakamiss na ung sacre and haha! reading those comments witnessed ako sa changes ng sacre from the old santol tree and ung old bookstore to the new ones! haha! my last visit eh nung kinuha ko ung yearbook namen na ke-ganda! :)) but i didn’t have the chance to explore ung loob ‘gang windows lang ako no’n higpit parin ni ate lourdes! :)) remembering the past was nice!!
