Website Problems

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

This site is powered by Wordpress and this server by default runs on PHP4.4. But the forum plugin which runs our forum, requires PHP5.x so as an exception to the server default, this server runs PHP5.2 and it caused some 301 redirect problems. Which was resolved by upgrading the Wordpress from 2.0.5 to 2.1.2.

Now, new problems exist. The theme seems to be outdated and not compatible with Wordpress 2.1.2 since link categories and post categories are combined. Aside from that the pages on the top bar are missing. While these problems are not yet fixed since I have tons of websites to fix also, there is a contact us page and forum page not displaying. If you need to view these, you can simply click on the links below:

Funny, someone was searching for SHAP and added 2006, haha, maybe they were thinking the new SHAP 2006 website will come out higher than this in Google. Some people adding Official Website to SHAN thinking the official website will come out maybe higher than this site in Google.

But don’t get me wrong, I am not against any of the schools, SHALL, SHAN or SHAP. This website is actually made to help promote the school that brought us great experiences in our lives.

If you are an alumni of any of the Sacred Heart Schools mentioned owned by the Keirulf’s and Zabarte’s and would like to share you precious memories of the school, your alma mater. Just place a comment below that you wish to be a contributing writer. Mention the school you attended and what batch were you. We wish to have at least 1 person per batch per school, that would be great! Hard to do, but I believe would be easy to achieve with your help. If you know someone willing to write their memorable moments at Sacre, or their talk about their reunions or wants to announce their reunions, inform them to contact me, turon[at]sacredheartacademy.net and we will prepare a login and password for you to post on this website. If you have videos and photos of reunions of memories at school, that would be great!

Website News

Friday, October 20th, 2006

We have linked to the website of Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches Batch ‘85 before and I was impressed with the unity of this batch. The events they come up with, and the photos and videos they posted on their website. But maintaining any website requires time and money for hosting and domain name renewals. Today, their site shan85.org has already expired and they had no intentions I guess of renewing the domain or they might have forgotten and the site is now defaced and probably, they no longer own the domain name. Anyone from Batch 85, feel free to leave a comment here if you wish to still have a website. I, Super Turon, is willing to host your website for free. Just leave a message below if you are interested.

Now news about this site… sorry no recent updates. This Sacred Heart Academy website was running Wordpress 2.0 and was just upgraded to 2.0.4. And I did notice many pages that did not have secure file permissions that I have just fixed.

I have recently visited Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches and took some photos. I will post the pictures of Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches in my next post.

Contributing writers, feel free to place a comment below if you want to be a writer for this site. Students and former students of Sacred Heart Academy La Loma, Sacred Heart Academy Pasig and Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches are welcome to write. Please keep the news relevant about the school, previous memories, batch events, and avoid just talking about yourself. Leave comments below if interested. More representatives from more batches, the better.

Future Kids School Technology Solutions

There is an urgent need today to ensure that Filipino children gain technology skills to help them succeed in life. Many Filipino children have access to a computer only when they are in school.

Because of this reality, FUTUREKIDS Philippines offers private and public schools the FUTUREKIDS School Technology Solutions program, a widely acclaimed technology program for schools that is implemented around the world.

This multifaceted technology education program for public and private schools incorporates a Pre-K to Grade 7 curriculum, a High School curriculum, a certified staff development program, skilled instructors, software, and assessment. We can also help schools acquire the hardware they need.  School Technology Solutions can be implemented as either a turnkey solution or in modules to fit an institution’s individual requirements.

School Technology Solutions are provided year round to accommodate local academic schedules.

FUTUREKIDS-trained consultants work with schools to craft cost-effective technology programs that meld the following elements:

  • Technology and Planning
  • Hardware and Software (including some free computer equipment, Internet subscription and school administrative software)
  • Professional Development Training
  • Pre-K to Grade 7 and High School Technology Curricula
  • Technology Integration Services
  • Ongoing Support

FUTUREKIDS works closely with teachers, parents, technology coordinators, administrators, and board members to help them make the transition to this new educational paradigm. FUTUREKIDS helps empower schools to be effective in the practice of education as never before.  The effectiveness of our educational programs lies in our ability to elevate and to empower teachers with:

  • Comprehensive training
  • Clearly defined learning objectives
  • Detailed lesson plans
  • Exciting and relevant projects

FUTUREKIDS’ commitment to training teachers–our own instructors or those of a school’s–ensures that educators are equipped to impart technology skills to students and to infuse technology into their own classrooms.  Our commitment is reflected in our comprehensive training programs, the ongoing support we provide, and a familiar training tool: curriculum.

This combination of training, tools, and support enables educators to teach students highly developed computer skills while also teaching them to work in a team, to think creatively and analytically, to solve problems and to communicate effectively.

The end result: students who are truly prepared and equipped to be productive citizens of the world and schools that have achieved a new level of educational excellence.

Our program has already been adopted in more than 2,000 schools around the world.

Contact us for hardware and software requirements and pricing information.

The Futurekids School Technology Solutions Program is being implemented in several schools including Sacred Heart Academy La Loma and Sacred Heart Academy Pasig.

Patricia ‘Pat’ Keirulf of Sacred Heart Academy Pasig Marries Francisco Roberto ‘Coco’ Mauricio

Friday, May 12th, 2006

Beauty and brains Patricia “Pat” Kierulf, daugther of Joey and Dina Kierulf from the family that stated all the three Sacred Heart Academies, married Francisco Roberto “Coco” Mauricio, business  executive from Johnson & Johnson.

Pat Kierulf is a graduate of Brent School and St. Benilde DLSU (Animo La Salle!) and is now finishing her graduate studies at AIM. Coco Mauricio, son of Marife and Antonio Mauricio, is a graduate of Ateneo with an MBA from UCLA.
A fun despedida de soltera, as in farewell to singlehood, was hosted by the bride-elect’s aunt, charity-civic worker and socialite, ex-supermodel, Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches Directress, Jojo K. Zabarte, at her residence in Villa Verde.

Last year it was Kitty Kierulf who got married to Franco Limjuco, followed by Pat Kierulf. And Casey Keirulf will have her altar date in January 2007, followed by Dianne K. Fletcher in April in New Orleans, then Katrina K. in New York City.

Pat Keirulf and Coco Mauricio was love at first sight and they decided not to wait, they got married about 2 months ago in exotic Bangkok, Thailand, where Coco works. SacredHeartAcademy.net wishes the both of you the very best.

Words from Mrs. Arreola and Mrs. Mallari-Roxas (SHAN)

Friday, March 17th, 2006

From friends I know from Sacred Heart Academy of Novaliches, they have been saying a lot about Mrs. Arreola, as in really a lot! But the people I know do not seem to know Mrs. Mallari-Roxas. The Mrs. Mallari they know is Ms. Perla Adea whom I believe was a Filipino celebrity in the 70’s to early 80’s I think.

Again thanks to Batch 85’s great video colletion for this video of Mrs. Arreola and Mrs. Mallari-Roxas. What is Mrs. Mallari-Roxas’ first name? I believe Mrs. Arreola is Elnora Arreola.

Loading...

Please share below what do you honestly think about Mrs. Arreola. What she a good vice principal? A bad one? And I know the demographics of this will be pretty much varied. Share your views in the comments below and ask other people, email them to share their views also.

We are more popular than the official Sacred Heart Academy Pasig and Novaliches websites!

Wow! I finally found a SHALL site!

Friday, March 10th, 2006

Yes, I found the Sacred Heart Academy of La Loma Batch 2005 website! A SHALL site is very hard to find, not that I am saying the Sacreans from the La Loma campus do not know how to make websites, but because, there are so many Sacred Heart Academy schools worldwide, and the words Novaliches and Pasig are kind of unique. La Loma is two words that often get mixed up with other words and search results show schools in Loma Linda or Atla Loma is some parts of the United States.

One interesting thing is they do not call themselves Sacreans, they wrote Sacredians. Nice background, reminds me of oldschool Windows 95 splash screen! Hahaha.
